From Vision to Venture: The Genesis of Finnish Star Company Limited
The company’s history dates back to 2013, when the company’s founder Mr. Mika Ropo, who had already been in Ghana for several years, wanted to start a business in Ghana.
In the beginning, of course, everything had to be started by establishing a company, and yet, through difficulties, in 2013 Finnish Star Company got its name and official status as a company in Ghana.
The business was based on a small-scale import of vehicles from Europe to Ghana. At a later stage, the activity had grown into financing and the sale of vehicles. The business already had several dozen vehicles.
Expanding Horizons: The Arrival of Grapefruit Drink and New Alliances at Finnish Star Company Limited
In 2020, the company began to exclusively bring Grapefruit Drink made only to the Ghanaian market. In the same context, the business was strengthened by the addition of Mr. Markus Keskinen to the business. Ms. Otoihjaghale was in charge of sales and her unyielding nature guaranteed the products to be on store shelves.
Together they created a huge network in Ghana, in a very short time. The product was on sale almost everywhere.
The drinks were made in Finland. In 2020-2022, beverage cans were already brought to Ghana in containers
Finnish Star Company's Pinnacle Achievement: Partnering with Arctic Blue Beverages and Expanding into New Frontiers
In 2022, Arctic Blue Beverages Limited, a large listed company from Finland, entered the picture.
Their products are internationally awarded and of very high quality. Finnish Star Company established its position as an importer of premium products and exclusive on the African continent.
In 2023, Finnish Star Company signed an agreement with Reej Company Limited for the exclusive sale of Arctic Blue Beverages products in Ghana. The product range will grow and there are plans to enter the Kenyan market with Reej Company Lim
